FAQs

Which Tutor will I get?
Which Tutor you get will depend on which course you take. He or she will be assigned to you once you sign up with us.

When can I contact my Tutor?
Depending on your course, you can contact your Tutor anytime between 10am - 9pm Monday to Friday. You can reach them via the Virtual Learning Community, by telephone or email.

How is my work and progress assessed?
All our courses are created in modules, with each module building on the last. Each module is assessed by a written paper, which you send in to your Tutor for marking. Your Tutor will provide feedback on your written assignments, helping you to build on your success.

How and where do I send my homework assignments?
You can use the freepost envelopes we provide to send your completed homework assignment to your Tutor. However, for a faster and more secure delivery we recommend using email or gaining access via our Virtual Learning Community.

How long should it take to mark my course work?
You should allow 14 days from the date of sending for your Tutor to mark and return your course work.

Can I study from abroad?
Yes, our courses can be completed from anywhere in the world, providing you have an Internet connection.

Will I get a student card?
Yes, you will receive a membership card from the association that you are enrolled with, e.g. ICB (Institute of Certified Book-Keepers), ACITP (The Association of Certified IT Professionals), ITT (Institute of Travel & Tourism).

How much time will I have to spend studying every week?
Courses take an average of between 60 and 120 hours of study. However, it's entirely up to you how long it takes, depending on how many hours a week you wish to spend studying. On average our students study 3 - 5 hours a week, but with home learning you have the flexibility to study at your own pace.

How long do I have to complete my course?
All of our courses are designed to be totally flexible and we impose no time limit for their completion. Therefore you can complete your studies at your own convenience. Tutor support is included in your course fees for a specified time, and you can extend this if you need to, at a small, additional cost.

Do I have to take an exam?
Many of our courses offer the option of taking a final exam. However this is not compulsory. If you have the option of a final examination it will be offered through the relevant professional association.

What qualifications will I get?
Your qualification will naturally depend on the course you take. However, all completed courses provide you with an option to achieve an Industry Recognised Qualification.

Who will grade my final assignment or exam?
You will be independently assessed by the professional association whose subject you are studying. For instance if you are studying Book-Keeping, you will be graded on your final assignment or exam by the ICB. Your professional association will also provide you with a certificate upon completion of your course.
